About Gina Wasserlein-Peto

To be truly happy in life and to feel complete, balanced, happy, healthy and peaceful, we must be able to clear our minds and free ourselves from the thoughts that don’t serve us well.
We must have the strength and clarity to listen to our intuition and the confidence to make things happen. The life we presently live stems from our past thoughts, words, and actions.
Yoga and meditation are tools to help us live a life we all want to live.  The more we practice being present, calm, peaceful on the yoga mat, the more we can practice being present, calm and peaceful off the mat… where it matters most.

For over 20 years, Gina has shared her passion of yoga and meditation with others and has empowered, motivated and supported many women, men, teens and children to live better lives. Her strengths are in her ability to understand the needs of her students. Her compassion and the trust she builds with her students and clients are what make Gina the teacher and mentor she is today. Her daily yoga practice has always been an important part of her life and believes that yoga, meditation, exercise, proper nutrition and constant self-reflection and mindfulness can help bring out the best in people.

Gina has taught many 200 and 300 hr Yoga Teacher Trainings, Intro to Mysore Programs, Yoga Lifestyle Programs and is constantly learning and growing in her own experiences with courses and programs. Her passion is to empower others to live life to their full potential.
Gina owned Downtown Yoga Studio for 15 years and has recently begun working as an independent Yoga Teacher and Mentor to work with more people around the community and abroad. Gina has travelled to India in 2015 and 2016 to work on her own practice and gain more knowledge in the traditional Method of Ashtanga Yoga with Sharath Jois.

Gina, previously an elementary school teacher and personal trainer feels her purpose in life is to be the best version of herself she can be so that she can empower others to be the best they can be in all aspects of their lives. We are all meant to live happy, peaceful lives with the tools to handle all the ups and downs life brings us. We have all heard and seen the hashtag  “#the struggle is real” however your life doesn’t have to be too much of a struggle all of the time. Life can be lived with more balance and peace.
